Leading provider of direct to consumer automotive products and services will offer health and wellness benefits to employees at new headquarters.

HUNT VALLEY, MD — (May 15, 2014) — CARCHEX, an industry-leading provider of direct to consumer automotive products and services, today announced a new health and wellness program for employees at its new headquarters in Hunt Valley, Md.

Named “Best Place to Work” three years in a row by The Baltimore Sun, creating an excellent workplace environment is a top priority at CARCHEX. With the recent relocation of its corporate headquarters to the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, its new offices offer space for an in-house gym.

“The Cross Training workout has been a great end to my day at the office,” said CARCHEX employee Joe Zumbo. “I look forward to the hour-long class where I know as I’m sweating, I’m building agility and muscle. It’s also helped me relieve stress and given me more energy, too!”

The CARCHEX gym is already active and will continue to see improvements over the coming months. The gym will have dumbbells, weights, physioballs, jump ropes and TRX bands for working out independently or with personal trainers. Group classes will also be provided. Cross training will be offered four times a week taught by certified trainers from Sweat Performance, whose owners helped design CARCHEX’s new gym.

“When Jason Goldsmith asked me to design a workout room in the new CARCHEX location, I was extremely excited to help,” said Mike Kimball, co-owner of Sweat Performance. “You don’t often see companies that are this committed to the health and wellness of its employees. When designing the space, my vision was to create a functional, efficient workout center that would allow our Sweat Performance Personal Trainers to put the CARCHEX team through challenging cross training, and anaerobic 60 minute workouts 3 nights per week. Sweat Performance is very excited to help the CARCHEX team achieve their fitness goals, and we look forward to getting the entire CARCHEX team in the gym very soon.”

Janice Ingson, a certified yoga instructor who specializes in teaching in the corporate workplace, will offer yoga classes four times a week.

“Being a part of the wellness program at CARCHEX is an incredible experience,” said Ingson. “The company’s leaders truly care about the staff’s well being, and I understood this after my first meeting with Jason Goldsmith. I got excited to work with them before even meeting the employees, but now that I know them, I’m truly enjoying building relationships with them. The company culture at CARCHEX is one of the most impressive I’ve seen since my return to the east coast from Colorado. I’m very honored to be a part of it.”

To further promote a holistic healthy workplace, CARCHEX will also install a vending machine of organic snacks.

“In order to provide the best customer experience, we need our employees to be healthy and energized. We believe strongly at CARCHEX that this leads to a healthier work environment as well as providing improved work/life balance, which translates to better service for our customers,” said Jason Goldsmith, CARCHEX CEO. “We also expect it to help with teamwork and productivity. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will not only benefit our employees, but our business as a whole.”
